Aphra Brandreth met with Three, one of the four largest mobile phone network operators, as part of her campaign to get better mobile phone connectivity across Chester South and Eddisbury.
Mobile phone connectivity across our constituency is not good enough. Some areas have great coverage but in some of our rural areas and villages getting phone reception can be extremely challenging.
Mobile phones have become part of our everyday lives, whether needing them for work, or to stay connected to friends and family. Good coverage is essential for economic growth, and it is crucial that our rural areas are not left behind.
Aphra supports the ambitions of the Shared Rural Network to improve mobile coverage through investment from both Government and industry to bring 4G coverage to 95% of the UK over the coming months. She is working hard to ensure that our area gets the focus it deserves.
Aphra will continue to hold Government and Mobile Network Operators to deliver their connectivity commitments by 2025, and press for continuing improvements in capacity so the network can operate effectively.
