Aphra Brandreth visited Claire House today to meet staff and volunteers, and find out more about the services they provide. Claire House is a world leading children’s hospice helping seriously & terminally ill children make the most of the time they have.
Aphra says: "The hospice has a really warm, and welcoming feel. It was great to chat with the staff and volunteers, hearing stories of families that they have supported and getting to see the wonderful facilities available. Everyone working and volunteering was clearly passionate about their work, caring and full of energy.
I enjoyed seeing the play area for the children, and even had a go playing the games with the eye tracker - just one of the many fantastic bits of equipment to ensure the children who they care for have fun and enjoy their time there."
